Worst service and experience
<p class="MsoNormal">We were there on Sunday for a Mother’s Day breakfast at 09:30 and this literally was the worst service that we have ever experienced. I was quite embarrassed as well as I was the one that saw this special on Facebook and it looked like a nice idea for the occasion. The issues we had were as follows:</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->We were assisted by a really friendly gentleman at the reception area who took us through to our table, it took about 15 minutes before a waitress attended to us, after having to go back to the reception area and letting them know that we were waiting to be served.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->The lady manager from reception came to our table and asked if we had been helped and we said no. We also asked her if there was any space inside to sit as it was quite chilly, but unfortunately there wasn’t which we totally understood as the restaurant was very busy. The lady manager offered to get us blankets which was a nice gesture but we still waiting for them. She also said that she will put the heater on which never happened either.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->Our waitress eventually assisted us and brought our coffees, then disappeared for another 20 minutes.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->We dished up from the buffet, which had a nice variety of dishes but with some of the bain-maries empty. My Dad got to the bacon and unfortunately it had been finished, he asked the chef and he said he will bring it to the table.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->We sat down to eat and our waitress eventually attended to us, we ordered coffees and I asked for some chili sauce. My Dad also reminded the waitress that he is waiting for bacon from the chef and to let him know where we were sitting. As he was mentioning this to her the chef walked out and walked across the road, then came back and got into his car and left, the waitress was very confused and you can just image how we felt. She went inside to place our coffee order and served us but never mentioned anything about the bacon.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> * </span></span><!--[endif]-->After I had finished eating the waitress eventually brought the chili sauce and I said you are far too late as I have just finished my meal, which seemed to be ok to her and just left it there.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->The lady manager came over to see if we were ok and my Dad mentioned that we still waiting for the bacon and that I received the sauce far too late. She then offered chorizo and we said no. My Mom said to her thanks for the blankets and the lady said the other table has them all, which is no problem, but communication would have been nice.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> *</span></span><!--[endif]-->We saw the chef come back with a Spar packet of bacon and it occurred to us that they had totally run out, so he quickly cooked it and got the gentleman from the reception to bring it over… by then my Dad and all of us had finished our meals and we were having coffee and donuts, also getting ready to call for the bill. We obviously told him that we do not need it anymore as we are almost on our way out. Again it would have been ok if someone had told us the issue instead of running around and keeping us waiting.</p> <p> </p> <p class="MsoNormal">I work for a hotel group and have been to plenty of buffets but never in my life have I been to something so disorganized and disappointing, especially on an occasion that we wanted to spoil our Mom. This was the first and probably the last time.</p>
