Worst service

I sent my son to buy a TV set (Sinotec 109cm/43 inch) full HD LED TV which we saw online for R2999 and Makro Carnival store in Johannesburg being one of the shops that has stock according to the website. When my son arrived there yesterday (13/08/2022) to buy the set,he was told that the tv was sold for R3999. When he showed them the special price,no body wanted to help him. I called the Makro helpline to enquire about it and l was told that the tv set was indeed R2999. The guy who was helping me tried to call the store with no luck. He promised to escalate the matter to the head office. I requested the stores contact no and he gave it to me. I called the store (Carnival) and my call was received by a certain lady, who later gave my call to the guy by the name of 'Devan.' I explained what the problem was to Devan and l even asked him to check the website. He said he's going to fix the problem by selling the tv for the R2999 price,so l should tell my son to ask any salesperson to take him to Devan. I called my son who was then taken to Devan. When he arrived,Devan and the other salesman told him that the price he saw was for an old stock which no longer exists. My son even asked them what other Makro store has that TV set so that he could drive there to buy it. They told him none. That TV special no longer exists. How absurd? I am talking about the current special on the website. I really don't understand what game are those guys trying to play in that store. I am really disappointed.
