Worst ever experience.

Hi all,

Please never shop from Makro online. It is the worst experience ever.

I ordered and paid for a television and a fridge, was told that it will both be delivered on the 26th of December 2024.

I have then phoned them at customer support and asked if I can please postpone the delivery to the 27th of December 2024 as we were not going to be home on the 26th of December we will still be on holiday.

Online then advised that no I need to ensure we are home on the 26th of December. We then shortened our holiday to be home earlier, cost us funds to do that. I then received a msg saying that the order is despatched and on the way to be delivered for the 26th then all of a sudden received another msg saying delivery was cancelled. I then first phoned online and they said that the courier dont deliver on public holidays after they told me that I better be home on the 26th.

I then phoned the courier that you guys use WUM drop, they informed me that the driver cancelled the delivery, they phoned the driver and he said that he will return to deliver the order the same day but only have the tv not the fridge. I then phoned online again and they informed me that they see the order for the tv but cant pick up the order for the fridge as it is a split order. I then asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, Zanele was supposed to phoned me but I think they might still be looking for her.

Then spoke to a online consultant and they informed me that the TV and fridge will be rescheduled for delivery by the store. I informed the online consultant to rather cancel the order and refund my money.

I am expecting my funds back into my account immediately in the same manner that you managed to deduct it immediately.

It is the worst ever online experience, you might as well close that department in your business, there is no such thing as customer service and all your call centre consultants think it is one massive joke.
