Worst customer service

I bought the XTR2000 pressure gun on special on Makro Online. When I got home and unboxed the machine it was faulty due to a cracked water bottle. I returned the machine for replacement at makro Struben valley and was told to pay the difference of the special and the actual/new price. This is such a poor customer experience. How can you sell me an item that is faulty and I expect me to pay the difference when I want to replace the item.
