Won't honor my warranty

purchased a Nikon camera 3 months ago from makro. One night I left it to charge and I noticed the following morning that it hadn't charged and that the charging port had come loose and was sinking into the camera.

As the camera was well within warranty I took it back. Since then I've been told about 110 different stories why they can't replace it. "You must have dropped it", "Perhaps the dog knocked it", it's "physical damage". When I query it I get told someone will phone me back and they don't. I was given a number of a technical manager to call about it and the number was a wrong number. This has been going on a month now!

I've never heard such nonsense in my life! I absolutely did not drop it, this is not my fault, it's a R5500 camera that is 3 months old and no-one is helping me.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we appreciate the time you took to report your dissatisfaction with the camera purchase at our Strubens Valley store.

We are most grateful that you have taken the trouble to contact us, since without effort taken by consumers such as yourself, we would not become aware of the deviations in the quality of our products which we endeavor to maintain at all times.

I believe the technical Manager from (Nikon) has been in contact with you and the camera will be repaired under warranty.

Thank you once again so much for taking the time to share your complaint with us. It always allows us the opportunity to improve and your comments are very welcome.
