Woman Physically Assaulted by Male Security Guard in Makro Woodmead Parking Lot

On the eve of Women's Month I was assaulted by a male security guard at the Woodmead branch in the parking lot. I am 5ft 4 woman and the use of force is inexcusable. There was no security violation and he was told by the liquor store supervisor to instruct the gas depot to fill my gas canister which I had paid for. The cashier had not given me a collection slip. After telling me there was no refund and no reprint of the collection slip they said they would have to check the security footage to make sure I was given the slip and did not drop it. I was not given a solution. This was already bizarre. I was informed they could see I was given a slip... yes the infamously long Makro till slip and orginal sticker from the gas depot. I asked how they can see the collection slip in and among everything else and still they insisted. I was also told they could see I dropped it. I said this was good news and they can tell me where and I'd go get it. I was told they could not tell me where because they could not see me drop it. Yet I was blamed for the entire situation. I was not told of a solution the attitude was 'too bad'. I became distressed, which I think quite understandable, especially as the staff were laughing, shouting to each other about me, mocking and clearly looking at me as they did so. From the get go the security guard in question was glaring at me. After I had to demand a solution and what was happening next, after half an hour of this nonsense, the supervisor brought the security guard over and explained that he would go with me to the gas depot and tell them to give me the gas. He just stood glaring at me. After an uncomfortably long silence and him not looking away from me I felt very intimidated. I eventually asked in a very neutral tone if he was going to accompany me after standing and staring me down till I spoke. He began to berate me, raised his voice and told me I have an attitude and am rude. The entire process felt *****. He had no name tag. Was in my personal space when we walked out the door and still lecturing me as the resident tone police. When I told him he wouldn't be treating me like this if I was a man he became even more intimiding. The parking lot was pretty empty and as we got further from the store I became afraid seeimg how isolated we were. I picked up the pace to get away from him and tried to get a picture so I could go to management. He was still so close he didn't even have to reach and he hit my phone out my hand 4 times. After I picked it up the first time and stood up he was right in my face and I felt the attack was continuing so I defended myself. I was walking backward screaming for him to get away from me and he kept walking up on me, hitting my phone from my hand over and over. He was also shouting and pointing his finger in my face. My 72 year old disabled mother who was waiting for me in the car up at the depot tried to help me and he went after her too. I have the 4th time he tried to hit the phone from my hand recorded and it clearly shows him making contact with my person and property. I also have a photo showing him pointing his finger in my face. This entire situation took place over about a 20 meter space. He did not leave. He continued walking in tandem and coming into my space and trying to grab my phone, hit it from my hand, maybe grab me, his hand was pulled up and back in a fist by his shoulder, wound up to punch at one point. In hind sight I think he was probably trying to grab me and pull me in to punch me since his fist was pulled. My mother had a panic attack. Eventually his supervisor was called. I was questioned about what I was doing to make him assault me and they would not call the police. I was threatened by the security guard and the man servicing the depot said he would stand witness and that he would press charges on me and the supervisor was alluding to it too and trying to convince me not to go to the police! The guard even said that his colleagues were on the radio laughing at him because they were watching from the cameras and that I was assaulting HIM. He even **** and said he just put his hand out and did not make contact with my phone... I just dropped it. Is he a Jedi? When my husband went there later to report it to management they had the same attitude despite not even being aware of the incident. The store manager, with 0 context, just off the bat before hearing anything at all told my husband that he too takes his wife's side and that there are two sides to every story. The dismissive and negligent bevaviour is out of this world. We have heard nothing since I submitted my incident report to management on 5 Aug. The supervisor investigating, the same one who would not call the police, has not answered our calls. We were told we would get the footage, which he claimed does not show anything.. yet in the moment his colleagues were radioing him and laughing? They gave me his name verbally but I immediately forgot the first name when we left as I went into shock and just needed to concentrate on driving home safely and getting my mom home before she had a heart attack or something. She was shaking and could not even dial the police. They refused to give my husband his name either so I have not been able to press charges. I cant express how much this has affected my mental and physical health. Reading the other reviews and seeing a disabled man claiming he too was assaulted at the same store in February is not surprising. Something is absolutley rotten about Makro's culture that not only enables this behaviour but also eggs it on. I have asked for an explanation on the process to buy gas that started this all, the policies that protect women especially from GBV but also customers from staff violence, and also a written apology from management and head office. Makro is appaling. All I can say is a fish rots from the head down.
