When buying new does not equate to getting a non-used item

I purchased what I was made to believe a good fan, have not used it so I can't deny nor confirm that it is in fact a good product. Anyway, imagine my surprise when opening the "sealed" box revealed a used fan which has been packaged and wrapped as new. Been trying to get hold of Tshepiso, the small appliance manager at the Woodmead store without any success. Was told, rather rudely and without any acknowledgement of causing me inconvenience that I should just bring the product back by a helpdesk staff member, forgot to take down her details. I refuse to take it back to them, I want my money back and they can collect the product from my house, why should I incur greater expense?

Hi Mbali When I was first alerted to your "heartfelt" reply I thought of it as very generic as all your previous replies to complainants has been that. Gave you the benefit of the doubt buy still waiting for you to contact me. What time period does as soon as possible cover? Yes I have since tried getting hold of your small appliance department and they too promised to get back to me. Your service sucks and I doubt that you're able to prove otherwise, please don't bother replying with another generic response, just solve my problem, nothing difficult about it.
