What a pleasure shopping here

<p>Makro Montague Gardens - Cape Town</p> <p> </p> <p>Now where shall I begin... Let me begin by telling you of the lack-lustre service at the Ottery Makro ......EVERYTIME I go there. This is my closest branch , so needless to say it's where I go.</p> <p>( This review is still for Montague Gardens Makro by the way, just in case you were wondering)</p> <p>This Ottery branch does not deserve to be affiliated with the Macro brand. The parking is pathetic, the service is pathetic, the store layout is pathetic, the building and its staff are pathetic.</p> <p>Staff huddle in groups discussing their own agenda's . They never seem to have stock and even if they take down your details , they never get back to you - I have been waiting for a call for the last two months (and that is only this last occasion). When looking for some customer service you have to go searching at their hideouts... usually at the electronics, bulk aisles, major appliances and at the entrance where they appear in small groups speaking about the latest movies or how " lekker" their weekend was, etc</p> <p>God help you when you're at the small appliances or kitchen catering section. When you're lucky enough to find someone they will feed you a load of bullocks. It's best for you to research on your own. They will tell you anything so they can get back to their clique.</p> <p> </p> <p>What an epiphany when I decided to take matters into my own hands and search for the product at another of the Makro branches.</p> <p>I mentally readied myself for a long unanswered call and decided I could sip my coffee and play with the dogs at the same time while I wait this one through.</p> <p>Think angels and the sound of harps my dears..... after the third ring I was directed to a gentleman by the name of Manuel. He listened and answered me unwaveringly, super confident about the description of the product.</p> <p>I didn't care if they were in Nelspruit.... I was going to see Manuel.</p> <p>Remember those angels and harps I mentioned earlier?...well queue them now!</p> <p>I made the journey in about 20 min, trekking all the way from Southern Suburbs to Montague Gardens. The moment I entered this branch I thought hmmm, very well organized. The car guards are pleasantly unobtrusive , keeping a respectful distance. The store is well lit and staff are very attentive and knowledgeable - "helpful" is an understatement.. Assistance is the order of the day at this branch. You do not go looking for staff, they come to you.</p> <p>The store layout is uncluttered and airy, but not cold. </p> <p>I am so very impressed with the service here, I have decided that all my future Makro shopping will be done at Montague gardens branch...I don't care if I have to make the 30 minute trek each time! </p> <p>10 stars to the Montague Gardens Makro branch!!! It screams excellence! You are the next IKEA.</p> <p>Very well done!!! </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
