Well done Makro Customer Care with lots of help from HelloPeter

I recently purchased a Trimtech edge trimmer from Makro in Pietermaritzberg. After the edge trimmer breaking down 3 times in as many months and each time taking it back to Makro and it being in for repairs for 3 weeks I demanded to speak to the manager an ask for a refund. The manager totally refused and after a long argument I told him that I would put the matter on HelloPeter. The manager did not once apologize.

As stated I did put the problem on HelloPeter and within 24 hours I had an email from the Makro HelloPeter Customer Care team advising me that they were looking into the matter. After 3 days of investigation by the Makro Customer Care staff I was phoned by Makro Pietermaritzberg and advised that I could come in and collect a full refund. This I did this morning with a full refund in cash.

So very well done to the Makro Customer Care Team which again shows the value of the HelloPeter site. However what a pity that the manager of Makro Pietermaritzberg did not see reason and refund my money on the third occasion that the Trimtech edge trimmer broke down. I have shopped at Makro for many years with most of my major home appliances being purchased from them and now thanks to HelloPeter and the Makro customer care team will continue to do so. However if you want to purchase a Trimtech product, do not. Check the number of complaints on HelloPeter.

However the real thanks goes to HelloPeter as without them I would be stuck with a Trimtech product that I would have eventually have to throw away .
