Warranty Repairs

Booked my chainsaw in on the 4th of Dec. The fault logged was a petrol leak. Received a call 11/1 asking me to approve a quote of over R1000! The first issue is that they quoted me for things that I did not book the machine in for...replace chain, replace bar, oil pump! The machine is under a 2 year warranty and is only 6 months old. I requested that a technician call me from the service center which he promptly did.<br> <br> I explained that I did not book the machine in for any of the mentioned \problems\" and that it was clearly a PETROL leak as it just pours out when you pour it in. He did mention that the oil pump wasn't working. As far as I'm concerned, this should be covered by the warranty, especially after failing after only 6 months of seldom use otherwise what's the use of having a warranty that doesn't really cover anything.<br> <br> 2 weeks later and I haven't heard from anyone and am still without my chainsaw after almost TWO months!"
