Warning to Shoppers: Makro SA’s ********* "Online" Cash-Rolling Practice

Be careful when buying "Online Only" items from Makro South Africa. They have turned online shopping into a system where they take your money, hold it for weeks, cancel the order, and then take weeks more to give your money back.

I ordered an item that was supposedly available online. They took my money instantly. After keeping it for 3 weeks, they abruptly cancelled the order and told me I’ll only get my refund by June 9th! That is nearly a month of them holding my cash interest-free.

This isn't a one-off mistake; it’s a pattern. They advertise items they don't have, take the consumer's money to roll it, and leave the customer empty-handed and out of pocket.

Think twice before buying online from Makro. Support retailers that actually value consumer rights and have competent stock management.
