Vodacom Data Contract Advertised in Makro Catalogue

On Saturday the 12th of November I took out two new data contracts for the advertised My GIG 10 promotion which includes a wi-fi router at Makro Carnival. To date this is still not activated. Firstly I only received one wi-fi router (deal) on the 12th and had to phone the Salesman (Bheka) on the 17th to find out when I'll get my other unit. Later that afternoon I was told to go and fetch the second unit. They told my husband it will be activated the next day. Needles to say it wasn't. I phoned Vodacom Activations department on Friday the 18th of November just for them to tell me that this should have been activated in the Makro store before I left the shop. I went back to Makro Carnival on Saturday morning. Bheka was on lunch and Segametsi assisted me. She was waiting for another customer to complete an application for a new cellphone contract and while he was busy she was busy on her phone whattsapping her friends/family. After waiting 10-15 minutes to be attended to she told me that they have send my documents thru to Vodacom on Thursday and I'll just have to wait until it's my turn to be activated on their system. I asked her why we weren't informed that there will be a waiting period to get this activated when we took out the contract in the first place. She said Bheka was suppose to inform me of this. She then phoned Vodacom and told me I'm in the que and will be activated within 3 hours.....She even told me she'll personally phone me on the Sunday if I still wasn't activated and took my cellphone number. Well needless to say, to date, no one phoned me. I even lodged a complaint on Makro's website on Friday morning and clearly they don't care about customer service as they also didn't bother to phone me up until now. I want to know when this will be activated and why this is not stated on their catalogue so everyone is informed of a waiting period to get the data contract activated!

Thank you for taking the time to raise your dissatisfaction.

We are committed to addressing your concern, and were hoping to speak to you directly in order to arrive at an amicable solution. But, unfortunately, the store has been unable to get hold of you using the Hellopeter contact details.

Please inform us how and when is best to make contact with you. The contract was activated by Vodacom on Saturday you need to insert the sim into a cellphone.

It is our goal to retain you as a satisfied customer.

Regards
