Urgent! – *****ulent Activity and Damaged Product (Order OD***)

⚠️ Consumer Warning: My Experience with Makro Online and Payflex ***** On Monday, 27 October 2025, I purchased a gas stove from Makro online using my Payflex account. The very next evening, 28 October, someone else used my Payflex account to make a R6,299 purchase from Takealot. On Wednesday, 29 October, I received an email saying “Congratulations, you have completed your order.” That’s when I realized I’d been ******—the repayment amount was far higher than expected. I contacted Payflex with no success, so I went to their Sandton offices. Thankfully, the team there was helpful—they blocked my account to prevent further ***** and promised to investigate and ensure I wouldn’t be debited for the unauthorized transaction. Fast forward to 1 November, my Makro order arrived while I wasn’t home. On 2 November, I opened the package only to find the gas stove was damaged and clearly used—with visible dents, rust, and signs of wear. This is completely unacceptable. I went to the Fordsburg Makro branch hoping for a resolution. Mncedisi Hlatshwayo from the online department told me I had to log a return online, as they don’t stock that item in-store. He also warned me against buying from Makro online, saying illegitimate goods are being sold under the Makro brand by third-party vendors. Given the condition of the item and the concerning feedback from your own staff, I urge you to take this matter seriously. I request immediate assistance with the return and a full refund. I also believe this incident warrants a review of the vendors operating under the Makro online platform.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this issue.
