Untrained Cashiers at Makro

I would warn everyone and anyone, who wishes to go to Centurion Makro, so please be careful and please check your slips for 'mistakes'. We had an issue with a teller/cashier and I went to the supervisor/manager to report this issue. I was then informed, without batting an eyelash, that the tellers/cashiers are uneducated and untrained and that they will be trained. Not stating when just they will be trained. How can a business operate this way by placing untrained people in cashier's positions, or do they not care if they lose money because they make enough? Or as in our case mistakes are made and then when questioned get told, sorry. So, how many clients are being done in this way by 'mistakes' being made by untrained cashiers and clients not scrutinising their slips, a nice way to make extra money? We were given back R 43 and some change. Do that to 1 000 clients, what a nice windfall for Makro because of all the mistakes made by untrained cashiers. Only in South Africa.
