Unacceptable Service, Blame Shifting & Customer Neglect – Makro Online & The Courier Guy I am extremely dissatisfied with the service received from Makro Online, their third-party delivery vendor, and The Courier Guy. I placed an order on 31 December 2025, yet for over five days there was no tracking movement. Despite multiple follow-ups, Makro customer care repeatedly assured me that everything was fine as long as the delivery deadline of 8 January 2026 had not passed. On 8 January, after relentless chasing on my part, I was instructed to contact The Courier Guy myself. I was then told the delivery failed because my contact number was captured incorrectly, even though my physical address was correct. I verified my Makro account details and confirmed my contact number was captured correctly. Makro then shifted the blame to their third-party vendor, taking no responsibility for the error. I was forced to act as a middleman between Makro and their courier, wasting airtime, data, time, and energy on an issue that should have been resolved internally. To make matters worse, tracking reflected “out for delivery” from 13:00, yet by 16:30 there was no contact from the driver, despite the 17:00 cut-off time. This experience reflects poor coordination, misleading assurances, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for the customer. Makro’s delivery partners represent their brand, and in this case, the service failure is unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
