It was the first time I bought online on this pathetic store. What an experience.
On the 26th of March, I placed an order and the item has been on ready to ship from that day. After waiting for that long and expecting the item to be shipped on the 3rd of April, I found out that the item is cancelled without any reason stated on the app. No curtesy call or email from Makro received.

I called the call centre number ***. I was assisted by an agent who upon request further transferred me to Margaret Harris who I believe is her leader. The time was before 12 o’clock when she promised to come back to me before 5 o’clock.l same day.

She didn’t keep the promise which to me that was not a surprise based on the experience received when my order was cancelled without any curtesy call.

I understand @ Makro I’m just a number, Makro is dealing with Niche customers they don’t need the peanuts that I’m bringing. I’m saying this because despite Margaret not honouring her promise, I called again and a lady by the name of Sbongile picked the call and asked me shocking questions like
- Which store I’m calling for?
- Who is Margaret? Still waiting for her call Todate.
While I was still confused, he placed the call on hold for20 minutes and eventually, I was asked to rate call.

I dropped the call and dialled again. I further dialled the number and a lady by the name of Ongezwa picked the call. The lady helped me as she managed to bring Margaret to the call.

Margaret provided feedback that she can’t help me. Money paid and I’ll have to wait for 7 to 14 days to get the money, Ongezwa said the money is on my account paid back on the date of the order . I was confused that two people from same company with different feedback. Not shocked though as the 1st experience count.

1. I’ve lost time and loyalty and trust at Makro as a reputable store.
2 I’m unable to buy myself another device to continue with my studies as now I must wait for 7 to 14 days despite asking Margaret that the device is still available online but only the color that is not available and I’m not buying the color but buying a device. Any colour is acceptable.
3. Price has now increased so meaning is a loss to me because I’m nobody and add no value to be Makro customer.

As we speak, I’ll be late on submitting my assignments as I have to wait for this giant Makro to decide when to pay back my hard earned money. I might even loose on my studies as I don’t know by when money will be paid and when will I get another device to transfer my school work to the correct device to be able to submit.

The response I received is very cold in that, now I know Makro is not for everyone.
