Two CADAC gas heaters, both unsafe!

Yesterday I bought two CADAC gas heaters and two full 9kg LPG cylinders from Makro Centurion. Last night I discovered that both heaters had a critical factory fault! As soon as the burner ignited, the heat from the middle panel would begin to superheat the top-end of the safety grill. In less than 60 seconds the middle section of the safety grill would be glowing red hot! I tried to use each heater for only three minutes on its lowest heat setting and with the gas valve opened with only one turn of the knob, and in that time both safety grills had been superheated enough to warp the metal! Now I am stuck with two full 9kg LPG cylinders, two dangerously defective gas heaters and a freezing home, and I am R3000 out of pocket!

I did, thank you. Unfortunately Makro Centurion refused to take back the two full gas cylinders I bought with the CADAC heaters as well, "because sorry, we do not know the refund procedure for gas". So now I am stuck with two full LPG cylinders for which I have no use! The result is that of the R3300 I spent at Makro, I only received R1800 back!

I do not believe there is ANY excuse to refuse to take back full LPG cylinders. Makro KEEPS them full like that, in a locked cage, outside at the gas depot, and sells them like that, in exchange for the empty cylinders that customers buy in the store. Surely, with a little effort, a Makro employee would be able to verify that the cylinders I bought are still full?!
