Trimtech Electric Trimmer 900W

I bought a Trimtech 900 W trimmer from Makro on 15 December 2017. Worst product ever!!! After 3 uses, when I replaced the nylon line, the safety guard part broke into pieces, instead of trimming the extra line with the cutting head. In order to get to the ****l to replace the line, you have to unclip the cap. This is an impossible process. Even though I did hold the cutting head with one hand and simultaneously press the two tabs on either side of the cutting head, you are unable to remove the cap, as the clip doesn’t open/lift. In order to get to the ****l, I had to use a flat *****driver to lift the cap. The nylon line, although using the prescribed product, overheats, and melts. You have to open the cap, and unwind the line and rewire this, in order to loosen the line. This causes that the line doesn’t feed when tapping the line release. Initially, I thought the trimmer is broken, and I took the trimmer back to Makro Germiston, on the 17th of February 2018 where I bought this. They advised me that they had to send the trimmer in for repairs, and will not replace this. After 4 weeks of waiting, complaining and emails, I received a call stating I had to pay R146.00 for part replacement and labour, as this is out of guarantee. They replaced the clip and guard, and I got the product back on 10 March 2018. The same happened when I started using the product again for the first time. The quality of the product is EXTREMELY POOR. Stinking customer service, one year warrantee is an absolute joke.
