The stupidity knows no bounds.

I tried calling the Makro Montague branch to enquire if they have stock of an item advertised before I waste my time driving to the store only to be told it is out of stock. However even doing something as simple as that is impossible. Firstly, they only list the national call centre number, When you call the number, after waiting an eternity they tell you that they do not know stock availability. They instructed me to call the branch on *** and to not select any option but wait to be helped. However after an eternity holding on, I was sent back to the national call centre and not the branch. If that is not just plain stupid I don't know what is. It is impossible to contact a branch.
