The Slip of the Till Slip

I’ve recently bought electrical equipment and building material, to the value of several thousand Rand, at Makro Silver Lakes. No problem – until reaching the exit door. Looong line of customers – waiting to have their purchases checked against their till slips. And then, the job isn’t even properly done! The security person at the door just gives the purchased items in the trolleys a cursory going-over (not checking everything), while having a loud conversation with his sidekick, and then making a BIG show of stamping the till slip. What is the purpose of this ridiculous show of trying to scare shoplifters? Well, here’s the thing: I certainly shall NOT purchase ANYTHING from Makro ever again. I refuse to be treated like a common ******** by a business that expects me to spend my hard-earned cash at one of their outlets. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish…
