STAY AWAY FROM MAKRO ON LINE SERVICE - THEY DO NOT DELIVER AS PROMISED

Makro has been advertising in the press that they have sorted out their delivery problems and improved their service. Sadly this is all not true. They advertise on their website delivery the next day if you order before 12h00. Again complete dishonesty. I needed 2 gazebos urgently and so checked stock availability online and then called the store to confirm they did in fact have the stock and asked them to keep it for me. They suggested I order on line as it would be quicker and easier. I did this at 07h58 - the order was confirmed by email. I expected delivery the next day- it never happened ( why lie to oyrur customers). I followed up and they said its actually 2 to 5 working days - which is completely against what their website says and what the store told me. I was told I could cancel the order and go an buy in store but again because of their ridiculous policies this was not possible as they also told me it takes 7 days to get a refund so how can I buy instore when they have my money and this was not a cheap purchase. I know full well all they have to do is reverse the transaction on my credit card and it is an immediate refund. I was told there was nothing else they could do - zero effort to try and assit the customer for their mess up. I had no choice but to wait for the delivery - which the website said had been processed On day 7 I get an email saying they have cancelled my order with no reason or consultation. When I folllowed up, I was told sorry there is nothing they can do . An online supervisor then told me that they stock in store is reserved for instore customers and other stock is reserved for online customers and that stock is finished. Be aware tat as an online customer you are not as important as an instore customer - really sad Makro. They then promised to call me back by the end of the day on a solution-. Well as you can guess that never happened and I am still waiting..

Please please be careful when ordering from Makro you wont get you items. They lie to you at every point and no company that offers such shocking service and non delivery should be trusted and supported.
