Stacked Beer Crates - Get them yourself!
I have been going to Makro for a few years since I started drinking the Castle 750ml beer. Every time I go there the crates are stacked 5 or 6 high and are stacked interlocking like bricks so to get just one crate off you must take from the top. Nobody comes to help, I have asked for help before but it's such a mission that I give up. Nobody comes to help you, I have asked before but trying to find someone to help is such mission. I am 69 years old and now I have to stand on a crate to reach the top and then try to manouvre one down. I now see from beginning of May 2025 that they have put a small 3 step ladder to help!!!! Why should customers have to use a step ladder to get a heavy crate, why can't they have some crates that are stacked just 2 or 3 high? Also what happens if a customer falls? This if definitely a breach of safety for Makro and a law suit for the customers!
I went into the Cape Gate store on 8th May and to my surprise the crates were stacked 2 high in front of the large stacks.
Thank you Makro and thank you Hello Peter.

How on earth are customers supposed to get a crate of beer weighing approx 15kg from nearly 2 meters high????
It's just a joke, no management skills to help customer experience!
