Spoilt meat

We had been to Makro on 16 Aug 15 to get some groceries, etc. While there we decided to get some meat (lamb) to avoid having to go to the butcher. It wasn't cheap but convenient. Purchased a lamb pack for +R500 amongst other groceries totalling R3500.<br> When we got home, my wife had opened the lamb to pack away.The stench from the meat was enough to get her to throw up. Yes, the meat was spoilt. Took it back to Makro the next day and all they would do is refund your money and say sorry. Probably went back on the shelf. The cost of getting there and back from Fourways was your own problem. Please be warned when purchasing meat from Makro. This experience will certainly be the last I have with Makro. Anyway the price of groceries aint cheaper than that of Pick n Pay, Spar, etc. In most cases, they are more expensive. Don't be fooled by thinking its cheaper buying in bulk, it aint...
