Since last month Makro has had a system change and with this you are unable to purchase more than 50 items in total. This is not the quantity of items but also the bulk item total. There for the basket has to be a bike delivery size. What is the point of bulk buys with Makro if this is the way forward, the only way is to go into store which is not ideal for many reasons. Unfortunately they don't care that this is going to impact their sales and profit margins and definitely was not thought through. Screenshot attached of the error for delivery and pickup. I even called to confirm as my basket was 20 something items but because some items were bulk soaps and toothpastes of 12, that is what was counted and only solution is to place more than one order. Loyal customer now looking for alternatives.
