Settled account leads to harassment form debt collectors and bad credit score!

We paid off my husbands account in full, in March 2020.

We have been handed from one debt collectors to the next since settling the account, he gets called every day, at his workplace, and his cell. He has sent countless emails, proof of payment and settlement letters but there seems to be no communication between Makro accounts and debt departments!

We are so frustrated, he's tried calling and can't get through for ages, and then when we eventually do get through we get an automated message saying that due to covid no one is in the office. He has a busy job and this is taking hours and hours of his time!!

We are considering taking legal action once this lockdown is over, we have been unrightfully harassed, and our credit score has been unrightfully damaged too due to nothing but your incompetence. Lack of communication between your departments for over 6 months! it's unnacceptable.
