Selling expired food
I bought a big tin of Peppadew Jellepino (3kg),when I got home I realised that the tine expired in February already. Usually I would have just returned it to the store without an issue, but this is now happening more often, Last year October it was a case of sparkling water and earlier the ear it was energade. This is a huge concern as Makro is part of mass mart and sell expired goods to the public. Barcode ********** 003623 bought at Stubbensvalley on 11.03.2018 I received a phone call from a lady @ makro asking me to retun the item. When I got there the one lady informed me tht she has breen standing in the que for more than an hour.
I will escalate the matter further as its unacceptable for a company like Makro who is part of mass Mart to sell expired food.
Makro were the party @ fault selling expired tinned food. I have spoken to the manager and that is the only way to stand in the que.
How can a company like Makro who is suppose to deliver a service only have 3 people at retuns? Discouraging people to return inferior products?
By the time that I have received my refund for the expired food that were sold to me it would have costed me more than the actual refund.
By making it more difficult for people to return goods to you, you are actually *****ing from your clients who are paying your salaries at the end of the month.
This is a total disgrace!!
