Selling defective goods and not willing to replace or refund the product. Not complying with consumer act

<p>I purchased a samsung curved monitor from makro amanzimtoi yesterday the 25th of september.</p> <p>the sales person who sold me the monitor did not open and test it nor did the cashier before purchase.</p> <p>When i took it home the monitor base wouldn't fit and there was a crack on the screen internally with no signs of damage to the exterior of the screen or the packaging.</p> <p>I spoke to the manager Pat Naidoo who refused to refund or replace the new monitor even though they did not check the monitor before selling it. The monitor was returned within 24 hours, yet they would not replace it .</p> <p>According to the consumer protection act defective goods are to be refunded or replaced immediately.</p> <p> </p> <p>Pat naidoo the manager rudely cut the call when asked for a refund on the phone.</p> <p> Due to makros employees not doing their job they are trying to imply that the customer damaged the goods.</p> <p>They want to send the product for an assessment, but how does a company figure out how or when a monitor was damaged.</p> <p>The store does not follow the consumer protection act, instead looks for ways to not honour the consumer protection act.</p> <p>Pathetic service and not complying with the law.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will be taking this up legally.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
