SEAGATE HARD DRIVE

In August last year, I purchased a seagate hard drive. It crashed and I took it back to Macro. It was returned from Macro with a note that the warranty was not accepted. I had a professional IT person, look at the hard drive and he confirmed that the warranty sticker had come off because the hard drive had overheated. Once I had this info, I contacted Seagate and they confirmed, in writing that the warranty was effective. However, Macro has no obligation in this regard for selling defective seagate hard drives, and Seagate only confirms that I must pay to end the hard drive to their overseas office for them to look at. WOW, what a cost. I paid for the IT specialist, I have to pay to get it to Holland, and I have to write of the cost because between Seagate and Macro, there is no service in South Africa for a seagate item. I will never ever ever buy Seagate again and am skeptic about anything I purchase from Macro who just passed the buck to me.
