Ryobi ******* products sold by MAKRO

I bought a Ryobi RG-2250i inverter generator in Nov 2019 for R3499. It lasted exactly 4 hours of use in 3 months.... I returned it to Makro Gornubia in KZN to be repaired under warranty. After 1 month, they phoned me to say that Ryobi South Africa cannot support their product anymore with repairs and spare parts in South Africa.... and that Makro will give me a refund.... Problem is... the same size generator now costs R6000 or more in Makro... So, I don't want a refund... I want a 2kW generator... that is what I bought and a refund of my R3499 now means nothing to me... Point is - why does a premium retail store group like Makro sell such ******* products like Ryobi... and secondly, what is the point of giving a 2 yr warranty if their supplier cannot support that warranty with after sales service, repairs and spares... STOP selling RYOBI products in your stores.... it is *******...
