Ryobi Generator Warranty not honoured

After compaining directly no one from Makro has come back to me so I attached the mails as the body of my complaint.
Dear Mark L------,
Thank you for your enquiry to Makro via Makro Online. A copy of your enquiry is below for your records, and has been referred to the relevant department. You will be contacted within 48 hours.
Contact No: ---
Email: [Email Removed]
Enquiry Type: Complaint
Store: Germiston
Title: Generator
Comment:
Hi my repair reference is ***. I bought a generator in early January. Just over 20days later I had to return the generator however as it was just past 14 days it had to go in for repairs. I have just been given a quote for over R2000 to repair the generator. This must be a joke. They claim I overloaded the machines however it has an overload switch so don't know how that is possible. The generator did not even work for 30 minutes.I am bitterly disappointed to put it mildly. The generator was brand new, with all original packing still.

Just to add to the complaint this generator is advertised as a 2.5kva however manaual and box makes it clear that it is only a 2Kva generator. The 2.5 is max power, not the rated power.
