Rusted Camp Master Trailer

So I bought my 2nd Camp master trailer from Makro Cape Gate in March 2019. November I had to take it back as it was rusted all over, hinges, roof rack, A frame, etc.

After fighting for 6 weeks I eventually got the trailer back on 12 December 2019! Result: Inside of Nose Piece still rusted. A frame was only resprayed and the rust is already making the paint coming off. New rust marks popping up all over. Wrong Jocki wheel on trailer, Needed a hammer to get it out. Still waiting for Makro to replace it as promised by Glyn (salesman).

R16000 for a piece of **** that I will have to dump it a year as it will be rust on wheels! As I mentioned, it is my second trailer, the other trailer in perfect condition (2 years old).

How will this be sorted out??????

Most probably by sending me back to Makro who will need another 6 weeks and so we will go on.

Next step after this post will be the consumer protector.

Why didn't I listen and bought from a different brand?

Ok, so now that my trailer is handed in for the second time, booked in on 21 January 2020, I have not received any feedback and today is the 25th of February 2020. So basically out of 11 months of ownership, the trailer was actually being "repaired" for almost 3 months!

Like the first time, if I do not call or physically go to the store, I will get absolutely NO feedback!

Well done team Makro!

Absolutely no reply! Exactly the service one expects. Went to Makro Cape Gate today to buy stock for my business. What a surprise that my trailer was there. No communication as per norm! Inspected and the trailer is still as rusted as it was when handed in.

Makro's manager Gawie Els told me it is surface rust and it is unfortunately what it is. All about excuses and no ownership! This is an absolute ******* statement, so I will now go to the consumer protector to investigate. Then Makro can explain to them how you can sell rusted trailers with a reason that surface rust is normal!

I obviously did not purchase the desks, chairs, laptops for my 3 new employees as I will not support a brand with such pathetic customer service.
