Rude and indolent staff

Visited the Bloemfontein branch today to purchase a washing machine. After my arrival and walking to the relevant department, I was left to stand there for 10 minutes before a mediocre attempt was made to help me.

Whilst standing and waiting, I saw a staff member chatting with another person, and I asked him if I can be assited (He was having a personal conversation with the other person and not assisting that person to purchase any appliance) and I was simply ignored.

I then decided to approach another staff member and said if i'm not going to be assited I would gladly take my business elsewhere. Suddenly I was assisted and I was told that the washing machine will be fetched and brought to me I must just wait.

Eventually after waiting about another 20 mins I was given a trolley with the machine and told to pay at the nearest counter. Ironically the person that initially ignored my request for assitance was all over me trying to sell me an extended warranty (So now that you see i'm actually purchasing something you value me as a customer, but beforehand you were too important to help me?!)

After paying no assistance was offered to help me load the machine into my vehicle and I had to ask a carguard to help me.

Makro, if this is how you do business then you should rather close up shop. Your staff members are lazy, rude and down right *********** to do their work.

Never again in my life will I support your business. You should be ashamed if this is your value proposition to clients. I would rather pay higher prices and support other businesses then to support Makro again.
