Rotten chicken return far below market

I bought chicken from Makro. Got home the chicken was rotten. Tried returning the product but returns has a 2 hr waiting time. How do you wait so long to change R600 worth of chicken. Shame on Makro I guess a client returning it's rotten product is not as valued as the one buying it
