Returns policy is pathetic

Bought a Disney character fold up chair for my daughters birthday in advance. Only to open it on her birthday to find these chairs don't have side arm rests like every other kiddies chair. No 2 year old can sit on this chair without falling out. Makro is not close to me so I went back a week later but within 30 days. Only to be told there are no returns or exchanges after 14 days. It's a pathetic rule that no other retail store does. It leaves a very bad impression of a store that I drive 60 km to get too. I only wonder if you are not selling reject items to fool unsuspecting customers by not displaying the product in store. I will share my experience with consumer watch because all customers need to be made aware of your pathetic returns policy.
