Retailers causing loadshedding
Makro are still advertising high-wattage appliances like 2000W heaters instead of punting the low-wattage alternatives. In a country that suffers from a shortage of electricity, this is VERY irresponsible. If just 500 people switch on their 2000W heater Eskom is down another megawatt - something the country can ill afford!

I'm boycotting Makro and other retailers that still sell these high-wattage appliances - and I encourage others to do the same. If they started advertising lower-wattage appliances when loadshedding first hit in 2007 the chances that we wouldn't have loadshedding now are very good.
