Refund my money now not after 3 weeks

My order has been canceled and they say they will refund by December 19 ,i want my money so I can buy the thing that they don't have in-stock. Why should I wait 14 days to get my money ,I want it and want it now . Why should they decide when to pay me ,this thing is for a birthday on Friday and I want to use that money.
