R12500 TV sent to person of the same name. No recourse.

I ordered a R12k TV online through them. Delivery was 2-5 days. On the fourth day, I got a confirmation email that the TV has been delivered to me, and that the order is complete. I did not receive any TV, so I called their customer support on the 5th day to hear what has happened. They said they would call me back that day.

I get no calls back, and the next morning I call them again. I give them my support case number from the previous call, and they tell me that on record the problem is that I have received a TV I did not order. I tell them that the complete opposite is true. They said they would call be back.

No calls or emails.

The next day I get a call from a random person who I do not know who tells me that he has my TV, and that he is based in Midrand. We share the same first name, so I guess if you have the same first name with someone else, you are at risk of having your order sent to them instead?

Until now, the 7th day, I have not received any calls or emails from them. No confirmation of what has happened -- my online account with them simply states that the order has been completed.

At this stage I will have to dispute the R12600 payment through my bank as being *****ulent and go to the police.

My advice to buying online through them: Make up a unique name so that your order won't be sent to someone of the same name as you.
