QUESTIONABLE NEW DEFY 13KG TOP LOADER WASHING MACHINE
7 August 2020 I bought a Defy 13kg Top Loader online. Delivery took place on Wednesday, 12 August 2020. Friday 14 August 2020 it was connected, instruction manual read and did the first "wash" Tub Clean as per the instruction manual. No problem. Saturday 15 August 2020 started with the washing. During the rinse cycle the drum made the most ********** sound. I stopped the machine (as per the instruction manual) checked that everything is in order - washing not on only one side - carried on. During the spin cycle the drum sounded as if it's going to break out the machine on all four sides. Phoned Makro ***@ 11.32. Spoke to Nkosana. (***) Told him the whole story. He told me to contact the store and they must exchange the machine or he can log a service call. Nkosana informed me it will be Monday, 17 August 2020 or Tuesday 18 August 2020 that Defy will come and have a look at the machine. To my detriment I opted for the service call from Defy. After MANY calls and eventually getting hold of a Manager at Defy by Friday, 21 August 2020, I was told the technician can only have a look at the machine the following week. After many words Defy agreed that a technician can be there Saturday, 22 August 2020.
Defy Technician, Lindokutule arrived at 08:03, Saturday, 22 August 2020. He had a look at the BRAND NEW DEFY WASHING MACHINE and casually informed me it is the shocks of the BRAND NEW machine that is faulty.
Saturday, 22 August 2020 I contacted Makro AGAIN to complain about this. Spoke to Mbadi @ 14:27 (Ref: 971 406) She informed me that a service follow up call will be logged and someone from Makro will get back to me regarding this situation.
Up to today, Monday, 31 August 2020 NOBODY from Makro contacted me. It is horrific to know that service has gone down the drain in such a bad way.
