Poor quality product purchased

On the 28th of December 2017 I purchased a TOTEM 29" XT Front Suspension Mountain Bike Black/yellow for myself. I'm definitely not overweight and I have been using it to cycle around the block with my kids of 5 and 7 years of age. Already the chain broke and I've repaired it not wanting to take it back to Makro because it would take time and effort of which I don't currently have time for. However now there is an issue with the pedals and also the handle bar keeps on loosening and I keep on tightening it. What a complete waste of money. I wanted to start cycling as a hobby and didn't want to spend a fortune however I should have rather paid R2000 more and got better quality and definitely wouldn't have bought a new bicycle at Makro.
