Poor Customer service
On the 20th of March 2021 I bought a Polaroid speaker from Makro @ carnival. In September 2021 I took back the speaker because the charging point got damaged. And it was back from repairs in October 2021 and not even a day it was back when the volume was high it would switch itself off so, I had to take it back to Makro and it was sent again for repairs. I picked the speaker up in February 2022 the on and off button was set vise verse and not even a week I collected the speaker I experienced the same problem charging point was damaged. I took it back and lady named Nthabiseng Mahlangu assisted, and I told her my frustration with the speaker advised she'll contact Polaroid regarding the matter. The 14/03/2022 I received a call from Nthabiseng and said Polaroid advise that it was human damaged even the first repair, so they won't be replacing nor refunding me. To my surprise the speaker is still within the 1-year warranty, and I wasn't notified about that human damage the first time they booked in the speaker. Today I receive a call from Siphokazi, calling on behalf of Nthabiseng, I don't think she should be dealing with customers with the attitude she has. Apparently, she tried a conference call with Sifiso from Polaroid and my line said busy. So, she called me and said I should call Sifiso, that's what Sifiso, told her to tell me. I'm disappointed with the customer service provided by Makro and Polaroid it shows they don't care period about the customers they just want our money that's all. I even advised Nthabiseng that I bought a Shox speaker from Makro the speaker only gave me problems after 2 years. And it's the first store(Makro) that when I have a problem with the product sold by a store, I'm told that I need to liaise with the supplier. What I know Makro should take responsibility replace or refund customers and deal with Polaroid, NOT the customer dealing with the supplier.
