Pay Back

In January i paid R2500 into stokvel account with Makro because i was going to buy a TV for my mother as a surprise however she decided to buy herself. I went o Makro yesterday to get my R2500 back the lady from accounts told me i cant have it back i should just buy something with the money. I feel i am being forced to buy when i nolonger need to buy. People return unwanted goods all the time i dont understand why i can not have my money back. Above all it was the attitude towards me that i did not understand. When i paid the money i was not told that its non refundable. So stressed
