My family and I are long standing customers of Makro, the reason we always value Makro is the friendly staff and the highest level of customer care. For the first time ever, I have received the total opposite from Makro staff.

On December 7 2024, i wanted to purchase a canon 2000D camera, since i was busy, my brother in law called to confirm that the double lens kit has an IS lens , as advertised in the picture online(attached). he spoke to a salesman( Richard) who confirmed that it does have an IS lens, said he will send pics and noted that he should ask for him when coming to the store(screenshots attached). I however went to purchase the camera myself and a salesman named Nalen assisted me. I took the 200D double lens kit considering that Richard already confirmed that it is IS and didn't check in the store, as at this point I had the utmost trust in Makro staff.

In the evening of that day, we opened the camera and noted that it does not have an IS lens but rather a normal lens. I proceeded to the store on 8 December 2024 to clarify why the camera does not have the lens as per the online adverti*****t picture and the salesman picture that was sent. The salesman Richard as well as the manager(Pravesh, if I'm not mistaken) came to the counter and the salesman denied being asked about the double lens camera but rather about a single lens kit. I then asked for a call recording to be listened to and the manger said that they do not have one,and there was nothing he could do to help me, he said " it's just a he say she say thing"'

What made me the most disappointed and frustrated is that the manager then started lying to me on my face. He said "I know this customer that bought this camera yesterday,he shops here often, he came to the store, was confused and didn't know what he wanted, then took this camera and went ". this infuriated me, as i was the customer who bought the camera and did no such thing. If the manager could come out and lie to my face, how can I believe that the other employee was honest. I asked the manager to give me the lens sent in the picture and he stated he could not do that.
