Overdeduction of debit order

I received an SMS from Makro in December 2017 advising that if I paid my account before a specific date I could have a payment holiday (meaning that I would be skipping an month's payment). I then phoned Makro on ********** 009 and asked the agent whether this would have an effect on my next payment due in January (double instalment). The agent then advised that it would have no effect. I therefore opted for the payment holiday. On 15 January 2018 an amount of R2402.39 was deducted from my bank account. I then phoned Makro and spoke to Nono (reference number ********** 03089) on 16 January 2018 to enquire why such a huge amount was deducted if my instalment according to my December 2017 statement only amounted to R1778.54. She then advised that there was a technical fault with my account and the difference would be refunded within 4 - 5 days and also advised that my Makro account would be credited with R100 to make up for the error. After 7 days no refund was paid and I received my January statement reflecting the instalment due as R2402.39 (take note the last time as far as I could see that this account was used was on 4 December), I could not understand why my instalment had suddenly increased by almost R700. I phoned Makro again on 22 January 2018 and spoke to a Selwin Claassen (reference number ********** 01220) who promptly advised me that there was nothing wrong with my account, however the matter would be escalated (due to what was said to me in my previous telephonic conversation with Nono) and feedback would be given with in 4 - 5 days once again. I also sent them an email to advise how dissatisfied I was with the way my account was being handled due to in addition to the huge increase on my instalment my credit limit also showed an increase (over the limit amount) of firstly +-R400 (on December statement) and then +-R900 (on December statement) even though I only went over my credit limit by about R7 on my last transaction on 4 December 2017. To date - once again another 7 days later, no feedback has been received with regards to my telephonic conversation or email. In the meantime my budget is short by almost R700 which again causes that I would have to either borrow money to survive or buy food on my Makro account which is now definitely not the way I would to go.

I received an e-mail from Makro regarding the above review, but only a portion of the review was addressed, still nothing was said about whether the over deduction will be refunded and I am now at the stage that I had to borrow money just to cover daily living expenses (which puts me back even further financially) due to the extra money that they deducted from my account.

Once again no further response from Makro, but they have the audacity to phone me about a cash loan.
