ONLINE SALE ITEMS A ****

I ordered sale items online, paid immediately, and after 3 days received a call to say its no longer in stock and they also cant say when stock will come it as it is out of stock from supplier too. then why do they advertise goods but cannot meet the demands. the online still shows stock? should it not be updated then to show out of stock? or was this just a lame excuse for me not to get these items on that sale amount? also it is now 12 days later and I am still waiting for my refund.
