Online Order - NO SERVICE

What an awful experience with our first "Online Order"!!!

We placed an online order for delivery of a portion of our monthly shopping on 9 February 2017, thinking that it will surely save us time and money and be much more convenient to have this delivered. An immediate payment of a little less than R10k was made for this order.

On Thursday, 16 February 2017, I made an online enquiry as to when we can expect delivery of our order. Although an automated response was received, no reply has been forthcoming.

Now, the 20th of February 2017, 11 days later, we have still not received any delivery of our order. This is a building of 10 floors, that is at a standstill due to this failure of service.

In contacting the call centre shortly after 8am this morning, one Mbali informed me that there was a technical error and that the order was never given through to a store!!! What nonsense! Where has the payment been allocated to then? She would have reverted, but I am still waiting…

I have now been on a call for 16 minutes with the call centre again. The person this time is Dylan – I think (I asked his name a few times, but it remained unclear). He informed me that the person who assisted me this morning did nothing on my order as there is no note on the system!!! He further informed me that he now tried to get hold of the managers at the Crown Mines store who deals with online orders but that they are both unavailable. He will revert to me. He has been helpful, but I am not sure as to what the outcome will be?

Apart from the fact that a service has been paid for and the service has not actually been received, the idea of this being convenient, has now turned into a huge inconvenience.

I am not even interested in any further excuses. If delivery cannot take place within the next 24 hours, appropriate action needs to be taken and a full refund will be insisted on.
