Ongoing Issue with Makro Online Order and Refund

I am currently experiencing a highly frustrating situation with Makro's online store, despite having had positive experiences in the past. After placing an order with a confirmed delivery date, the item was never delivered, and I received no updates. Despite several follow-up calls, I was repeatedly informed that the issue was being "followed up" or "escalated," while the online tracking system provided inaccurate and misleading information with no progress.

I eventually cancelled the order, yet it was still handed over to their courier partner, revealing a serious breakdown in communication between Makro and their courier partner. Furthermore, the refund process has been inconsistent and unreliable. Although their policy states refunds take up to 10 days, customer support later informed me it could take 14 days. Even after a full month, no refund has been issued, leaving me no choice but to involve my financial institution to dispute the transaction.

Based on this experience, I find their service unreliable and cannot recommend their online store for anyone expecting timely deliveries, cancellations or refunds. This review is provided to share my factual experience and to inform other customers of the potential issues with Makro's online service/store.
