No child lock on washing machine

Bought. Samsung Eco bubble top loader 15 kg washing machine from Makro 19-4-25. Got delivered 23-4-25. Waited for installation which happened 27-4-25 on the second load while I was hanging up my washing I heard my 3 year old fussing. Upon inspection he climbed into the washing machine. I freaked out took him out and switched on the child lock. When I went back to hang up the load he started fussing again. Found him again inside. Freaked out. Read manual which states he can suffocate. Freaked out more. Watched Google videos. Can't get it to lock it just drains water if in child lock. Phoned Samsung customer care. Been trying to get help not using machine. Taken off work 3 times being told I will be phoned for video to explain what I am doing wrong while I am with the machine. Today Pendile phones tells me this machine has no such function. Makro won't return it as it is not faulty. What the heck now. I can't use it I can't return it. When I bought it the display had a lock on reasonable to think it would lock. Now I am told this model doesn't lock. Why is it not on your box to state suffocation risk but doesn't lock so I knew I can't buy it? Can't believe I didn't buy a defy and thought to make an investment and buy Samsung. So frustrated. How does this not have a basic safety function.
