No assistance in redeeming Makro Gift Card
I have a friend who gave me 2 Makro gift Vouchers. These were sent via email and contain the gift card numbers as well as the customer copy of the gift card load. I went to Makro with all these details in hand and was told that they require the actual card in order to redeem the Vouchers. This is nonsense as I would have to drive close to 100km to collect these. I asked if they can contact the person on record and was told no. This just shows No one was interested in helping.

25 Jan 2023, 20:02This is unacceptable, the details I have from the copy of the customer gift load have all the necessary details required to create a new in store gift voucher. Is there a reason why a new voucher cannot be loaded for me?

Are you saying I can take the emailed customer copy of the gift card load to Makro to make a purchase as I have 2 gift cards for R150? Your reply says a copy of the gift card will be accepted.
