No Accountability from Makro Online

I'm posting this review to serve as a warning to all Makro Online would-be customers. Just ... don't even bother. Either go to the guys that know what they're doing (i.e. TakeAlot) or just go to a physical Makro store when you want to buy from them. They are currently using a courier company called Value Express. I don't know how these clowns have managed to become the sole distributor of Makro's parcels. In any case: I've ordered a package from Makro on the 28th of November. Value Express then contacted me on the 3rd of December stating that the parcel was out for delivery and I needed to arrange for someone to be at home to receive it. Well I made arrangements and waited, but they didn't deliver that day. It is now the 10th of December and the delivery is still outstanding. When you then call Makro about this they just state that it is out of their hands as the parcel is now with Value Express. They take no accountability whatsoever and you're left battling with the courier company to try and determine where your parcel is and when it is going to be delivered.

The parcel was eventually delivered out of the blue on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily I was home to receive it. There was no communication from Value Express' side on where the parcel was and when I could expect it to be delivered. Worse, before the delivery was made I contacted Makro Silver Lakes and the lady there basically alluded to the fact that I should just drive through and throw a tantrum in the store to get my items as that is what worked for other customers. But, yeah, the whole experience was very unpleasant. I'll never order from Makro's Online shop again.

Well, I hope one of the first "significant steps" that you guys take is to switch to another courier company. Seriously. Value Express is just terrible. I've never dealt with a company as unprofessional and unhelpful as them. They will be responsible for sinking your online store.
