Nikon COOLPIX P900 BLACK camera problems
Good evening. Hope all is well. As per my previous complaints about my Nikon COOLPIX P900 BLACK camera, bought from Makro in Springfield park. Where the camera was freezing and blurring photos, they said there was no problem or issues with the camera.
I came in contact with Londiwe on November 13, 2019 where we had the camera send off to Nikon in Johannesburg where they replaced the lens as well as the rubbers. Which i eventually paid for the rubbers to be replaced. The lens is under warranty. I collected the camera from Makro in springfield park on 03.12.2029, where i couldn't test the camera due to battery drained. I signed for the goods as unchecked and battery drained. I was out of town from then until now. Got back to durban and put my camera on charge, but it didn't charge, it doesn't switch on at all, only to realize it's not the charger the camera came with when i bought the camera is not the right charger. I emailed Londiwe on 12.03.2020 at 17:27, i tried calling the store 3 times and Londiwe didn't answer, just to ask her to please follow up on the charger which i got no feedback, i eventually emailed Anet requesting for feedback regarding the charger and the issues on the camera. Which Anet rep**** Dear Mandy/Tinus I have searched under the serial number and the unit came to our service centre on two occasions, the first time was in September 2019 and the technician could not reproduce the fault that was given at that time (the camera switches off on its own while in use), he changed the auto off setting from 1 minute to 30 minutes and cleaned the camera. The camera was returned in October 2019 with the following faults (unit is freezing during a shoot, need to remove battery and reset unit to work and then freeze again. Photos are blurring when in use, lens doesn’t retract and rubbers are peeling). The technician replaced the lens unit and the rubbers on the unit (the rubbers are not covered under warranty as it is due to wear & tear) The only accessories received with the camera was the battery, eye piece, lens cap and strap. No charger was received. The repair was completed on 21 November and returned to Makro on 29 November. Batteries are not charged by us as we normally don’t use the customer’s battery unless the fault relates to the battery not charging etc. unfortunately battery life runs down over time. I emailed Anet back Hi I am letting you know that this charger is not my charger. It doesn't fit inside the camera. There is no other charger besides this one and it definitely is not mine. Thanks
From Anet Dear Mandy You will have to take this up with Makro as we did not receive a charger, please see below the list of accessories received, by us which was returned with the camera after the repair. Please let me know if they are not able to assist.
I rep**** So if i understand correctly, it means that the battery only lasts for 8 days. From 21 November to 29 November. So which means that the camera wasn't switched off, from the time it left u guys to makro in dbn. Something is definitely not right here. This camera is still a problem and i am still paying every month on something i cannot use. Please can you help me..
Thanks Mandy
